CPVC pipe, full name Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride, is mainly made from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride resin. By increasing the chlorine content of PVC resin, CPVC pipes offer higher heat resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and better chemical stability than standard PVC pipes. CPVC pipes are lightweight, durable, easy to install and have a long service life. They are widely used in hot and cold water supply, plumbing, industrial piping and other applications where high temperature and corrosion resistance are required.
CPVC Pipe Production Process
Material Preparation – Primary raw material is Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) resin, selected for its superior heat and chemical resistance.
Mixing & Preheating – Raw materials are precisely blended per the formula, premixed at controlled temperatures to ensure uniformity, then preheated to the optimal extrusion temperature range.
Extrusion Molding – A single-screw or twin-screw extruder pushes the preheated compound through the die head. Precise temperature control across all heating zones is critical to ensure smooth flow and proper pipe formation.
Cooling & Shaping – The extruded pipe is rapidly cooled to lock in dimensional stability, then passed through shaping equipment to guarantee uniform diameter and wall thickness.
Traction & Cutting – The shaped pipe is drawn by a tractor and cut into standard lengths (or custom lengths per client specifications).
️ Printing & Inspection – Brand logos, specifications, and applicable standards are printed on the pipe, followed by rigorous quality inspection covering appearance, dimensions, mechanical properties, and flame retardancy to ensure full compliance with standards and customer requirements.
