    Each coupling contains embedded resistance heating coils. When connected to a compatible electrofusion control unit, the coils generate heat and fuse the inside surface of the coupling with the outside surface of the HDPE pipe. After the required cooling time, the joint forms a durable, leak-tight and corrosion-resistant connection.

  • An HDPE electrofusion coupling is a socket-type fitting used to connect two polyethylene pipes of the same nominal outside diameter. It is especially suitable for pipeline repair, tie-in work, confined installation areas and buried pipe systems where butt fusion equipment may be difficult to use.


    The fitting is installed by preparing the pipe surface, inserting both pipe ends to the specified depth, securing the assembly with alignment clamps and applying the fusion parameters specified on the fitting label or barcode. The internal heating coils melt the contacting PE surfaces and create a homogeneous fusion joint after cooling.


    Electrofusion coupling provides a practical connection solution for HDPE pipe systems requiring reliability, corrosion resistance and long-term service performance.

Installation Guidelines

  • For a reliable electrofusion joint, installation should be carried out by trained personnel using suitable electrofusion equipment.

    1. 1. Cut the HDPE pipe square and remove burrs.
    2. 2. Mark the insertion depth on both pipe ends.
    3. 3. Scrape the oxidation layer from the fusion area using a suitable scraper.
    4. 4. Clean and dry the prepared pipe surfaces with approved cleaning materials.
    5. 5. Insert the pipes fully into both ends of the coupling.
    6. 6. Use alignment clamps to prevent pipe movement during fusion and cooling.
    7. 7. Connect the electrofusion terminals to a compatible control unit.
    8. 8. Scan the barcode or enter the fusion parameters specified on the fitting.
    9. 9. Allow the joint to cool completely before removing clamps or applying pressure.
