Project Overview

This is a large-scale agricultural planting base mainly engaged in the cultivation of wheat, corn and other food crops, with a total irrigation area of 500 hectares, covering various terrains such as plains and gentle slopes.

The original irrigation system of the base adopted old metal pipes with a long service life, suffering from serious corrosion and interface leakage. These problems not only led to low water conveyance efficiency and severe water waste, but also required a lot of manpower and material resources for regular maintenance and replacement, resulting in rising maintenance costs year by year.

Meanwhile, the uneven water conveyance of old pipes caused obvious differences in crop growth in the field, affecting the overall yield and quality. There is an urgent need for a corrosion-resistant, easy-to-install, long-service-life and cost-effective irrigation pipe system to thoroughly solve the existing pain points, ensure stable and high yield of food crops, and reduce operating costs.

Selected Products

According to project requirements, terrain characteristics and irrigation pressure demands, PVC irrigation pipes with specifications DN110-DN200mm and pressure class PN10 are selected, matched with a full set of PVC adhesive fittings, rubber ring sealing joints, valves and other accessories, with a total length of 8,000 meters.

Made of high-quality PVC resin with environmentally friendly anti-aging and anti-corrosion additives, the products are processed through precise mixing, extrusion, sizing, cooling and cutting. They strictly comply with BS EN ISO1452 international standards and have passed CE, ISO9001 and other certifications. The material is hygienic and eco-friendly, free of harmful substances, does not affect irrigation water quality, and meets long-term buried application requirements in farmland.

Project Highlights

Remarkable water-saving effect and reduced resource cost: The pipeline adopts a double sealing design of rubber ring + adhesive, featuring excellent sealing performance to completely eliminate joint leakage. Buried laying avoids evaporation and seepage loss of open channel water delivery. Compared with the old system, the water saving rate reaches 40%, saving about 120,000 cubic meters of irrigation water per year, greatly reducing water consumption costs and conforming to the concept of water-saving agriculture.

Corrosion-resistant and durable with long service life: The products have excellent acid-alkali and soil corrosion resistance, adaptable to different soil environments and effectively resisting chemical erosion in soil. They also feature good thermal shock resistance, no frost cracking risk in winter, no deformation or aging in high summer temperatures. The normal buried service life is up to 70 years, greatly reducing pipeline replacement frequency and later maintenance costs.

Lightweight and easy to construct for higher efficiency: PVC pipes are light, 6 meters per piece, convenient for transportation, handling and on-site laying without large construction equipment, and the construction process is simple and efficient. Buried laying is flexibly adopted for different terrains to avoid crop planting areas. All laying, connection and commissioning of 8,000 meters of pipelines were completed in only 15 days. Construction efficiency is 50% higher than that of original metal pipes without affecting normal farming and sowing.

Stable water delivery ensures crop growth: The smooth inner wall with low friction coefficient brings low resistance, fast and uniform water flow, realizing even irrigation of field crops. It effectively solves the problem of uneven crop growth caused by uneven water delivery of original pipelines, helping food crops achieve stable and high yield. Verified by practical application, the per mu yield of grains increases by 15%, significantly improving planting income.
