Project Date: July 2026
Project Type: Municipal Stormwater Drainage & Urban Flood Control
Main Products: SN8 Large-Diameter PVC-U Drainage Pipe, HDPE Storm Drain Pipe
Project Location: Al Barsha & Al Quoz Community, Dubai, UAE

Project Overview
In recent years, Dubai has faced frequent extreme rainstorms and serious urban waterlogging, which severely affects urban traffic and community safety. This project is an important part of Dubai’s official Tasreef urban drainage upgrading plan, covering about 20 kilometers of new stormwater pipe networks, community drainage reconstruction, and supporting inspection wells. The project aims to upgrade the old drainage system, improve urban rainwater discharge efficiency, and eliminate seasonal waterlogging risks.
According to municipal design standards and buried load requirements, the project adopts a hybrid solution: high-ring-stiffness PVC-U pipes for conventional buried drainage sections and high-toughness HDPE pipes for complex road crossing and deep-buried sections.
Project Challenges
-
Urban core area with heavy vehicle load, requiring high ring stiffness and anti-deformation performance
-
Extreme sudden rainfall requires high drainage efficiency and anti-sedimentation pipeline design
-
Part of the pipeline crosses urban roads and commercial areas, requiring non-destructive construction
-
Desert high-temperature environment requires UV resistance and long-term aging resistance
Customized Pipeline Solution
1. PVC-U SN8 Drainage Pipe for Main Urban Drainage
For conventional shallow-buried rainwater trunk lines and community branch lines, we adopt SN8 grade PVC-U drainage pipes. The pipes feature high ring stiffness, stable structural performance, strong resistance to soil and vehicle load, and will not deform after long-term burial. The smooth inner wall effectively improves drainage speed and avoids silt accumulation. It perfectly meets Dubai municipal drainage standards and has excellent cost performance for large-scale urban pipe network laying.
2. HDPE Storm Drain Pipe for Complex Sections
For road crossing, deep-buried sections and trenchless construction parts, we use high-density HDPE drainage pipes. With excellent flexibility, impact resistance and high-temperature aging resistance, HDPE pipes adapt to complex urban foundation changes. The integral fusion connection effectively avoids pipeline leakage and dislocation, ensuring long-term stable operation of the urban drainage system.
Project Achievements & Customer Feedback
After the completion of the project, the rainwater discharge capacity of the Al Barsha and Al Quoz areas has been greatly improved. The new pipeline system effectively copes with extreme rainfall weather, completely solving the historical problem of urban road waterlogging. The Dubai municipal engineering team highly recognized our reasonable material matching, stable product quality and strict compliance with UAE urban construction standards.
